Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Finance/Accounting-focused intern for a remote summer program. The internship runs May 31, 2027 through August 6, 2027, with up to 40 hours per week during Mon-Fri business hours. The role is remote and available to residents in listed states, including LA. Pay is $21.00 per hour.

The intern will work on automated Excel processes, review charge discrepancies, and assist with financial analyses and budgeting tasks across Advocate Health and affiliates.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics or related degree with junior or senior standing.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Use Excel to develop automated processes and minimize manual work.
• Review and analyze discrepancies in charges and assist with changes for professional and hospital charges.
• Prepare financial and statistical analyses and manipulate data for trends and performance.
