Job summary

Kiewit offers a Finance Analyst Internship that supports project accounting and finance tasks across multiple locations in the United States. The role involves cost control, payroll, A/P/A/R, and financial reporting preparation for project management, with relocation as needed.

The program emphasizes learning by doing within the Central District’s Operational Finance team, including exposure to month-end close and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, and/or equivalent degree.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Ability to relocate anywhere in the country for this internship.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience with Pivot Tables and V-Lookups is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recognizes the importance of being a team player by adapting to project needs.
• Fosters relationships with the Operations team and shows a willingness to learn about the work.
• Understands payroll and HR processes and masters the systems used to hire, transfer, terminate, and pay employees.
• Manages purchasing workflow, invoices, and internal controls.
• Troubleshoots accounts payable and vendor issues for timely payments.
• Understands intercompany and client billing processes and supports cash management.
