Job summary

Mass Electric Construction Co. is seeking a Finance Analyst Intern to support project accounting and finance functions on large-scale projects.

You will help with cost control, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable while learning the month-end close processes and reporting packages for project management. The internship is entry-level, with opportunities to learn labor, materials, subcontracts, and cost-revenue components across nationwide projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or equivalent degree.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Previous internship experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience with Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, and other Excel functions is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable and human capital management tasks.
• Assist with compliance and implementing accounting controls on the project.
• Participate in month-end close and prepare financial reporting packages for project management.
• Handle cost and cost adjustments to ensure accurate reporting and recognition of cost and revenue.
• Collaborate with team to ensure timely and accurate billing and cash management.
