Job summary

Mass Electric Construction is seeking an entry-level Finance Analyst intern to support project accounting and finance tasks. You will contribute to cost control, payroll, AP/AR, and compliance, while gaining exposure to the month-end close process and financial reporting packages for management.

This internship offers hands-on experience across large-scale projects, with training in cost and revenue components such as labor, equipment, materials, and subcontracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or equivalent degree.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above.
• 0-2 years' financial/data analysis experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience with Pivot Tables and V-Lookups is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cost control and project accounting tasks.
• Support payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and human capital management processes.
• Help ensure compliance and support month-end close activities.
• Assist in preparing a financial reporting package for project management.
• Learn and apply internal controls for purchasing and billing workflows.
• Collaborate with the district Operations team and project managers.
