Job summary

Mass. Electric Construction Co. is seeking an entry-level Financial Analyst to support project accounting and finance tasks for projects ranging from $1 million to $4 billion.

You will assist with cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, human capital management, and compliance as part of the month-end close and financial reporting process. The role offers field and office rotations, potential travel to project sites, and relocation as needed.

Qualifications

• 0 - 2 years of financial/data analysis experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, and/or equivalent degree.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Ability to relocate anywhere in the country.
• Travel and/or relocation may be required for this position (up to 50%).
• Experience with Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, and other key Excel functions is preferred.
• Effective communication (both oral and written), organization and interpersonal skills.
• Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Support cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and related processes.
• Assist with month-end close and financial reporting packages for project management.
• Work with labor, construction equipment, materials, and subcontracts cost components.
• Maintain purchasing workflow internal controls and vendor payment processes.
• Review cost reports and ensure accurate cost and revenue recognition.
• Collaborate with operations and finance to ensure timely and accurate billing and reporting.
