Job summary

Akamai invites passionate students to join its Finance summer internship, part of the 3-year AFDP. You will gain exposure to business line finance, commercial finance, and corporate planning while mentored by senior leaders in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

You will develop forecasting, budgeting, and analytics skills, presenting results to senior management and contributing to process improvements across the Finance function.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in a business-related field and planning to graduate between December 2027 and June 2028.
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident status is required.
• Prior internship experience in financial analysis or a related area is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required.
• Self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reporting and in-depth customer or product analysis.
• Develop annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and outlooks, plus resource planning analysis.
• Identify process improvements and help implement them with the team.
• Create business presentations for senior Finance leadership, including a final showcase presentation.
• Conduct industry analyses to develop operational best practices and update internal documentation.
