Job summary

The State of Maryland's Baltimore County Department of Social Services seeks a Fiscal Administration Supervisor to plan, coordinate, supervise and evaluate the Administration Unit's financial operations, including FMIS and D365 processing, cash receipts, AP and AR.

You will train staff, review CPC statements, ensure accuracy of payments, and enforce policy compliance to support timely, accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience reconciling agency accounting systems to fiscal control systems or developing automated spreadsheets, ledgers and reports using accounting software packages.
• Experience interpreting and applying accounting policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Agency’s Fiscal Administration Unit and ensure daily operations comply with regulations.
• Train, monitor and evaluate staff, including scheduling and disciplinary decisions.
• Implement policies for accounts payable, deposits, and accounts receivable; ensure FMIS and D365 compliance.
• Review CPC statements and prepare journal entries in FMIS; approve interagency transfers.
• Ensure accuracy of payments including payee, vendor IDs, amounts, and approvals.
