Job summary

The State of Maryland, Department of Human Services, seeks a seasoned administrator to oversee the Baltimore County Department of Social Services Finance Administration Unit. You will supervise fiscal operations, ensure accurate reporting, manage FMIS and D365 activities, and lead a team to meet regulatory and organizational standards.

You will implement policies, monitor controls, and drive timely financial processing including accounts payable, receivable, and cash handling while maintaining

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or GED.
• Three years of experience reconciling agency accounting systems to fiscal control systems or developing automated spreadsheets, ledgers and reports using accounting software.
• Ability to interpret and apply accounting and administrative policies.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Agency’s Fiscal Administration Unit and oversee daily operations.
• Train and monitor staff; handle performance evaluations and scheduling.
• Implement and enforce policies for payables, deposits and receivables; ensure system compliance.
• Conduct operations ethically and ensure internal controls and documentation accuracy.
• Prepare journal entries and review interagency transfers for accuracy and approvals.
