Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, with auditing credit hours or equivalent accepted.
• Four years of experience in accounting systems, applying GAAP to analyze and interpret records.
• Note: CPA or related master's degree can substitute for up to one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily fiscal accounting operations and reconciliations in accordance with state requirements.
• Supervise accounting staff; review, train, and guide staff in billing, cash receipts, and collections.
• Support year-end closing activities and internal/external audits with documentation and corrective actions.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and timely reporting across General Accounting and Budget/Procurements.
• Assist with reconciliation of funds, deposits, EFTs, and inter-agency transactions.
