Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA offers a Summer 2027 internship as Intern – Financial Accounting Services (FAS) within our Financial Shared Services team.

During a 12-week program, you’ll tackle real-world tasks such as account reconciliations, journal entries, and assisting with monthly close, with exposure to lease accounting.

The program is hybrid with remote work capability and includes a housing stipend for students nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics with expected graduation Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Demonstrated internship, work, research, or extracurricular participation.
• Involved with at least 1 extracurricular activity.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Interns must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Join a 12-week internship in Financial Accounting Services (FAS) in Pittsburgh, hybrid.
• Perform account reconciliations and journal entries using Excel and other tools.
• Contribute to monthly GL close and consolidation processes.
• Assist with leases and GL-related tasks as described.
• Engage in the Intern Impact Project to review SOPs and improve processes.
