Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. invites student interns to join the Accounting team in Pittsburgh, PA for a 12-week Summer 2027 program.

You’ll work within the Financial Transactions and Policy group, tackling real-world accounting challenges using tools like Excel and Oracle Smart View, with mentorship from industry leaders and exposure to SEC filings and GAAP. Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s program in Accounting or Finance with an expected graduation date in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 or equivalent
Demonstrated internship, work, research, or extracurricular participation
Involved with at least one extracurricular activity
Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of financial analyses, SEC filings, tie outs of 10Qs and earnings press releases, as well as SOX controls documentation
Use the accounting systems (i.e., Smart View) in connection with monthly general ledger financial close and consolidation
Review and research internal policies (SOPs and Financial Management Handbook) and GAAP requirements
Interact with global finance contacts to validate account balances and fluctuations
Attend information sessions with the Senior Leadership team
