Job summary

Howmet Aerospace invites students to join its Summer 2027 Intern – Financial Accounting Services (FAS) program in Pittsburgh, PA. The 12-week internship will use Excel and other tools to perform tasks like reconciliations and journal entries within the Financial Shared Services team.

During the program you’ll engage in an impact project to review SOPs, attend leadership meetings, and gain exposure to lease accounting and monthly GL close in a hybrid work setting with housing stipend

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics with expected graduation Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or equivalent.
• Demonstrated internship, work, research, or extracurricular participation.
• Involved with at least 1 extracurricular activity.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Interns must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings with the leadership team.
• Gain exposure to lease accounting and related SOPs.
• Reconcile lease balance sheet accounts and analyze related processes.
• Assist with monthly general ledger close and consolidation activities.
• Prepare quarterly files for balance sheet reconciliations at location.
• Assist with ad hoc projects related to the GL and accounting locations.
