Job summary

Airblox is seeking a Director of Finance to lead all accounting, financial reporting, and controllership in a fast-growing, tech-enabled airfreight platform. This hands-on executive will build scalable processes, ensure compliance, and provide clear visibility into the business, with potential to expand to Financial Director across portfolio companies.

Reporting to the CEO, you will drive close processes, budgets, KPI analyses, and partnerships with operations and leadership to optimize capital

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred
• 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience; 3+ years in controller-level leadership
• Experience in private equity- or venture-backed companies preferred
• Experience in logistics, freight, marketplace, or transportation/aviation industries a plus
• GAAP technical accounting with hands-on close and audit

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close with GAAP financial statements.
• Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash flow.
• Design and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures for a scaling business.
• Oversee external audit, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
• Manage banking relationships and cash flow forecasting.
• Build and maintain the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial models.
• Deliver monthly/quarterly financial reporting packages and variance analysis to leadership.
• Develop KPI dashboards and unit economics analysis for airfreight marketplace.
• Support pricing, margin, and profitability analysis across Airblox's business lines.
