Job summary

SeAH Steel USA in Houston, TX seeks a detail-oriented Quality Control Assistant to support final product inspection and measurement verification. You will assist the Quality Manager in maintaining inspection records and data, using micrometers, calipers, tapes, and gages to ensure accuracy of products.

Preferred candidates have 1 year of quality control experience or a 2-year technology degree, good English, and strong data organization skills.

Qualifications

• Requires basic English reading/writing and strong arithmetic skills.
• Ability to organize large data sets and manage multiple priorities with time management.
• Experience with measuring tools and final inspection processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with final product inspection (visual and chemical analysis).
• Verify measurements with micrometers, calipers, Pi tapes and Snap gauges.
• Support Quality Manager in maintaining final inspection documentation.
• Confirm weight matches expected values and ensure WMS machinery is serviced before start-up.
• Assist in repair/replacement of WMS equipment during maintenance outages.
• Record production findings and maintain documentation/technical records.
• Communicate issues with material or equipment to Supervisor.
