Job summary

Sanmina Corporation is seeking a Quality Control Inspector at our Houston facility to examine products and materials for quality, safety and design conformance. You will measure dimensions, document results, and rework as needed to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.

The role requires 2–4 years of QC inspection experience in manufacturing, ability to read blueprints, and strong communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of QC inspection experience.
• Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Able to read drawings and other written documents.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, pin gages, thread gages, and measuring microscopes.
• Experience creating NCMR’s, first article inspection, device history records.
• Solid written and oral communication skills.
• Good organization and documentation skills.
• Strong computer skills with MS Office / Google suite experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and measures items for dimensional accuracy, fit, alignment and functional operation, according to drawings and specs.
• Examines for work defects in materials and products.
• Reworks subassemblies or finished products as required.
• Approves or rejects items, and records inspection and disposition information.
• Accurately documents the results of the inspections and testing.
• Maintains all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
• Participates in NCR investigations, CAPA activities.
• May inspect outgoing and production line parts and materials.
• May perform manufacturing audits against control plans to validate conformance to process requirements.

Job Purpose:

Our Houston facility is looking for an experienced Quality Control Inspector to examine products and materials to ensure they meet strict quality, safety, and design standards. Key duties include inspecting items , measuring dimensions , and documenting results .

Nature of Duties:

• Inspects and measures items for dimensional accuracy, fit, alignment and functional operation, according drawings, product data sheets, industry standards, and other specifications, using precision measuring instruments and devices
• Examines for work defects in materials and products
• Reworks subassemblies or finished products as required
• Approves or rejects items, and records inspection and disposition information
• Accurately documents the results of the inspections and testing
• Maintains all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner
• Participates in Nonconformance (NCR) investigations, Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities
• May inspect outgoing and production line parts and materials
• May perform manufacturing audits against control plans to validate conformance to process requirements
• May participate in the construction and/or revision of SOPs for the inspection function
• Assists in the writing and updating inspection procedures, protocol and checklists
• Other duties, as assigned

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2-4 years of QC inspection experience required
• Quality Control experience in an manufacturing environment preferred
• Able to read drawings and other written documents
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, pin gages, thread gages, and measuring microscopes
• Experience creating NCMR’s, first article inspection, device history records
• Solid written and oral communication skills
• Good organization and documentation skills
• Strong computer skills with MS Office / Google suite experience
• Able to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment
• Basic proficiency in ASME Y14.5M and blueprint reading
