Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor for Final Mile in Chesapeake, VA. You will oversee dispatch operations, manage dispatchers and independent contractors, and ensure on-time delivery, routing accuracy, and safety compliance.

The role requires at least 2 years in final mile or warehouse, supervision experience, and proficiency with DispatchTrack and Microsoft Office. On-site with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of final mile, warehouse, or distribution center experience.
• Prior lead, dispatcher, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with independent contractors or third-party carriers preferred.
• Experience with delivery management or routing software (DispatchTrack) preferred.
• PC literate with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility for hiring and managing the dispatcher role.
• Supervise and coach subordinates, including performance and timekeeping.
• Ensure accurate daily loadout, staging freight, and on-time dispatch.
• Manage daily stand-up with independent contractors and communicate routes.
• Oversee dispatch operations, track routes, and escalate issues to leadership.
• Provide first-line response to client issues and escalate as needed.
• Maintain records in the delivery management platform (e.g., DispatchTrack).
• Lead operation in absence of senior managers and uphold safety standards.
• Recommend process improvements and coordinate with client on service levels.
• May oversee inbound/outbound warehouse operations and client relations.
