GEODIS in Chesapeake, VA seeks a Warehouse Operations Supervisor for Final Mile to lead dispatch teams and oversee daily loadouts and contractor coordination. The role involves supervising day-to-day operations, ensuring on-time dispatch, and maintaining safety standards while coordinating with drivers and clients.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in final mile or warehouse supervision, with experience in dispatch systems and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related final mile, warehouse, or distribution center experience.
• Experience leading dispatch operations and coordinating with contractors.
• Familiarity with delivery management or routing software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct hiring and management of the dispatcher role and direct reports.
• Supervise daily loadout, staging freight, and on-time truck dispatch.
• Lead daily stand-ups with independent contractors and communicate routes and safety topics.
• Monitor dispatch operations, track routes, and escalate issues as needed.
• Provide first-line response to client issues and coordinate with senior management.
• Oversee end-of-day contractor check-in and returns reconciliation.
• Maintain accurate records in delivery management platforms (e.g., DispatchTrack).
• Manage operations in the absence of the Assistant/Senior Manager to ensure continuity.
• Enforce safety, uniform, and service standards; suggest process improvements.
• May oversee inbound and outbound warehouse operations and client relations.
