Job summary

TMC Transportation, Inc. is seeking a Dedicated Final Mile Fleet Manager to lead and coach a team of drivers in Des Moines, IA. The role focuses on meeting delivery requirements, maximizing revenue, and maintaining safety standards.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm, with responsibilities across route planning, dispatch, and driver support. The ideal candidate has a four-year degree in Transportation/Logistics or relevant experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Transportation and Logistics or related field.
• Experience in transportation or related field is preferred.
• Fluent in computer applications and keyboard proficiency.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Accept orders, optimize routes, and plan delivery schedules.
• Dispatch loads to drivers with requirements and routing.
• Arrange additional labor for deliveries when needed.
• Track drivers to ensure on-time delivery performance.
• Communicate with drivers and customers to resolve issues.
• Maintain driver payroll records weekly and enforce policies.
