Job summary

Werner Enterprises seeks a customer support specialist to act for the operation, maintaining ongoing communication with delivery teams, clients, and customers to address and resolve problems that could delay deliveries.

You will administer orders, update portals, schedule deliveries, coordinate routing, complete shipment statuses, and manage documents such as bills of lading and manifests, always communicating with urgency.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent experience.
• One year of customer service experience preferred.
• Routing, dispatch, and warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer orders for delivery and update customer portals.
• Schedule deliveries per client SOPs.
• Coordinate routing to maximize service and efficiency.
• Update shipment statuses and collect PODs.
• Maintain bills of lading, manifests, and load plans.
• Communicate with urgency to resolve schedule or delivery issues.
• Monitor progress of delivery teams and adjust plans as needed.
• Advise delivery teams on actions regarding customer or logistics problems.
• Verify merchandise against sales receipts.
• Prepare dispatch logs and tracking reports; set up manifests.
• Handle exceptions such as late departures, delays, or damages.
