Job summary

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. is seeking a Final Assembly Production Engineer to support development and implementation of new model preparation at NAMC sites.

You will work to ensure Vehicle Manufacturing equipment is safe, high-quality, and efficiently automated, reducing non-value-added work. You will lead equipment projects from concept to launch and collaborate across teams in NAMCs, TMNA Final Assembly, and suppliers to advance production engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or technical degree.
• Experience in Assembly Engineering or Internal Logistics Engineering.
• Ability to travel up to 20% to NAMCs and Japan.
• Ability to work up to 30% overtime.
• Experience creating and interpreting equipment drawings from concepts to production.
• Experience managing a project through OP (Operating Procedure).
• Vehicle model change experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan projects with Plant teams and Final Assembly for upcoming model changes.
• Evaluate model change impact on vehicle processes and develop equipment change requirements.
• Develop new technologies and vendor base for PE/Manufacturing competitiveness in Assembly.
• Lead equipment projects from concept to launch for Equipment and Automation in Assembly across NAMCs.
• Collaborate with internal and external groups across Toyota including NAMC teams and others.
