Job summary

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana is seeking an Assembly Engineer to impact safety, quality, and productivity through principled problem solving and project leadership.

You will apply engineering methods to resolve manufacturing issues, gather data, and support production with process improvements while adhering to safety standards and OSHA guidelines. A driving role requires a valid MVR and a focus on cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Applied Engineering.
• Experience in production/manufacturing environment in an engineering or technical role, including co-op or internship.
• Project management experience (developing, leading, prioritizing work, Milestones, status reporting).
• Strong communication skills to interact with all levels.
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to drive; motor vehicle record acceptable by company standards.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Suite CAD software.
• Knowledge of OSHA and ANSI requirements.
• Experience with Equipment FMEA and machine reliability.
• Expertise in machine design, risk assessment, and control implementation.
• Experience applying GD&T within the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to resolve manufacturing issues and improve safety, quality and productivity.
• Gather and analyze data to make vehicle quality decisions.
• Provide technical production support for process improvements.
• Ensure safety standards and OSHA compliance with tools, knowledge, and verification resources.
• Manage multiple projects and lead cross-functional teams to meet milestones.
• Collaborate with production, safety, conveyance, maintenance, inspection and quality.
