Job summary

Axalta is seeking a Filling and Packaging Operator for our Orrville, OH facility. The role involves safe and efficient filling, labeling, packaging, and inspection of industrial refinishing products. You will operate packaging equipment, complete production documentation, and assist daily operations to prepare products for storage and shipment.

Schedule: Mon-Thu 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, with occasional Fridays. $1500 sign-on bonus ($750 at 3 months, $750 at 6 months).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, and work orders.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication with supervisors and team members.

Responsibilities

• Fill, label, and package products according to guidelines and safety standards.
• Complete job sheets and production documentation accurately.
• Attach identification labels including lot numbers and shipping information.
• Inspect products for quality and packaging compliance.
• Set up, operate, clean, and tear down packaging equipment as required.
• Monitor operations and adjust for consistent quality.
• Report mechanical issues to supervision.
• Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
