Job summary

Axalta is seeking a Filling and Packaging Operator in Orrville, OH to safely fill, label, package, and inspect industrial refinishing products. You will operate packaging equipment, complete production documentation, and help prepare products for storage and shipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, attention to detail, and the ability to read and follow instructions. Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 8:00 PM-6:30 AM with occasional Friday shifts; sign-on bonus of $1500 distributed at 3

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, and work orders.
• Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

Responsibilities

• Fill, label, and package products according to established guidelines, specifications, and safety standards.
• Complete job sheets and production documentation accurately, ensuring correct counts and traceability.
• Attach identification labels and markings to finished products, including lot numbers and shipping information.
• Sort, grade, weigh, and inspect products to verify compliance with quality and packaging specifications.
• Set up, operate, clean, and tear down packaging equipment as required.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to ensure consistent product quality and performance.
• Stop or reset equipment when malfunctions occur, clear minor jams, and report mechanical issues to supervision.
• Remove finished products from packaging lines and separate non-conforming materials.
• Operate powered pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment through regular housekeeping activities.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including reporting hazards, incidents, and near misses.
