Job summary

Axalta is seeking a Filling and Packaging Operator at our Orville, OH facility. You will be responsible for safe and efficient filling, labeling, packaging, and inspection of industrial refinishing products, operating packaging equipment, and ensuring production documentation is accurate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and work orders.
• Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.

• Physical ability to lift, move, and handle materials in a manufacturing setting.
• Commitment to safe work practices and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Fill, label, and package products per guidelines and safety standards.
• Complete job sheets and production documentation with accurate counts.
• Attach IDs and lot numbers to finished products and shipping info.
• Sort, grade, weigh, and inspect products for quality and packaging specs.
• Set up, operate, clean, and tear down packaging equipment.
• Monitor machine operations and adjust for consistent quality.
• Stop or reset equipment and report issues to supervision.
• Move finished products from lines and separate non-conforming materials.
• Operate powered pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment.
• Follow safety policies and report hazards and near misses.
