Job summary

Axalta in Orville, OH is seeking a Filling and Packaging Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will fill, label, package, and inspect products, ensuring accurate documentation and traceability throughout the line.

You will operate packaging equipment, perform setup/teardown, and maintain product quality while observing safety policies. Prior packaging or production experience is preferred; high school diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and work orders.
• Follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions accurately.
• Lift, move, and handle materials in a manufacturing environment, and maintain safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Fill, label, and package products according to guidelines and safety standards.
• Complete job sheets and production documentation with accurate counts and traceability.
• Attach IDs, lot numbers, and shipping information to finished products.
• Inspect and weigh materials to ensure packaging quality and specs.
• Set up, operate, clean, and teardown packaging equipment as required.
• Monitor machine operations and adjust to maintain product quality.
• Stop or reset equipment during malfunctions and report issues to supervision.
• Remove finished products and segregate non-conforming items.
• Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety policies.
