Job summary

Mobile Communications America (MCA) seeks a Communication Systems Technician in the Western region of Maryland. The role involves installing, diagnosing, and upgrading land mobile radio systems with emphasis on reliability for public safety, healthcare, and utilities.

We offer competitive pay ($20–$23/hour) and benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K, PTO, and education incentives. Valid driver’s license required; travel to job sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Two+ years diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing mobile communications equipment.
• Experience with spectrum analyzers, watt meters, TDRs, FDRs, and multimeters.
• Willingness to learn two-way radio theory and related technologies.
• Associate degree in Electronics, IT, Telecommunications or related field preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair LMR systems and related equipment for diverse customers.
• Design and upgrade customer systems to latest technologies and solutions.
• Perform minor circuitry modifications and deploy factory software/firmware updates.
• Provide technical support and communicate system performance and maintenance needs.
• Complete service tickets, work orders, and documentation accurately on time.
• Join on-call rotation for after-hours emergency support as required.
