Job summary

ECS Limited invites applications for a Specialty Technician to join our College Park team. You will perform field observations, inspections, and sampling across soils, aggregates, concrete, and steel, including destructive and nondestructive testing.

Work requires lifting, travel to sites, and clear communication with project teams. We offer development through ECS methodology, ongoing training, and opportunities to advance within a large geotechnical and construction materials organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of related field experience.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain 2 relevant specialty certifications from recognized authorities.
• Ability to lift 40–70 lbs several times daily; up to 85 lbs occasionally.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance required; transportation to job sites provided.
• Strong communication skills; able to read and interpret plans.

Responsibilities

• Perform field observations, testing, inspections, and sampling of construction materials.
• Test structural steel and reinforcing steel using established methods; document results.
• Collect data, perform calculations, and reduce data for reporting.
• Maintain field equipment and report missing items; liaise with project team.
• Attend project meetings and communicate site conditions to contractors and managers.
