Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience in field observations, inspections and testing.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to obtain 2 relevant specialty certifications from industry authorities.
• Ability to lift 40–70 lbs multiple times daily; occasional 85 lbs.
• Valid driver's license and insurance required.
• Able to safely operate a motor vehicle and follow safety policies.
• Strong communication skills in speaking, reading, and writing.
• Knowledge of destructive and non-destructive testing principles and standards.

Responsibilities

• Field activities: observations, testing, inspections, and sampling of soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt and structural steel.
• Testing procedures: observe and document inspections of structural and reinforcing steel per industry standards.
• Data collection: calculate data from sampling/test results and draft/maintain documentation.
• Communication: coordinate with site contractors, technicians and project managers; attend meetings.
• Training: receive ECS methodology training and document findings precisely.
