Job summary

ECS Limited in Savannah seeks a Specialty Technician I to perform field-based destructive and non-destructive testing and inspections. You will work on structural steel, welding observations, and related inspection tasks under supervision, developing technical competency while upholding ECS values.

Responsibilities include documenting findings, communicating with field teams, and supporting project requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two specialty certifications applicable to the work performed as per policy.
• OSHA 10 may be required for some roles.
• Valid driver’s license required if driving for ECS.
• Military ranks E-4/E-5 qualify if education/certifications are met.

Responsibilities

• Perform destructive and non-destructive testing on construction materials.
• Conduct inspections of structural steel, reinforcing steel, and connections (welded and bolted).
• Perform field observations and collect samples for testing.
• Document findings in accordance with engineering and inspection standards.
• Communicate daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers.
• Report changes in site conditions and additional testing needs.
• Prepare and submit daily field reports and documentation.
• Perform basic calculations and data reduction tasks.
