Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Specialty Technician to join our team for field observations, inspections, and testing across construction materials. You will perform sampling of soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel, including NDT methods where applicable, while following ECS standards and safety practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience.
• Must have and maintain at least 2 specialty certifications from NRC, NICET, WACEL, ACI, IFC, AWS, ASNT, ASTM.
• Valid driver's license and insurance.
• Must provide suitable transportation for on-site use - mileage reimbursed.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction plans.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Proficiency with electronic devices such as phones, tablets, and laptops.
• Ability to perform work at heights and with heavy materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform field observations, testing, inspections, and sampling of soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt and structural steel.
• Execute tasks under supervision of senior technicians and project managers; inspect fabrication facilities and piping systems.
• Conduct tests on structural steel and reinforcing steel, including welds and bolted connections; may include GPR surveys and corrosion surveys.
• Collect data, perform calculations, and assist with drafting; maintain field equipment organization.
• Maintain daily communication with site contractors and project managers; attend project meetings as requested.
• Receive training in ECS methodology and mentor other technicians as they grow.
