Job summary

Cherokee Millwright, Inc. is hiring for a Multi-Craft Field Welder to support our Operations team. The role requires cross-training in millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, and other trades to meet customer job requests.

Responsibilities include laying out weldments from blueprints, welding parts, positioning pieces, inspecting work, and maintaining safety precautions. The position supports diverse projects in a field setting with emphasis on quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must pass structural and 6G pipe weld test.
• Two+ years of experience with industrial and commercial applications.
• Fork Lift License may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lay out pieces to be assembled per blueprints or work orders.
• Weld with manual/semi-automatic/automatic equipment to join, surface, fabricate, and repair metal parts.
• Position pieces using jigs, fixtures, guides and measuring tools.
• Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications.
• Perform minor maintenance on equipment.
• Follow standard safety practices and maintain records.
• Participate in safety committees or initiatives as required.
• Develop flexibility to work in other crafts as needed.
