Job summary

Cherokee Millwright, Inc. is seeking a Multi-Craft Field Welder for its Operations team in Morristown, TN. The role requires welding across multiple trades, laying out parts per blueprints, and repairing machinery in field settings.

You will work under the Multi-Craft Millwright Foreman and may cover other crafts as needed to meet project requirements. The position emphasizes safety, adherence to codes, and cross-training in welding, pipefitting, sheet metal, civil, and related trades.

Qualifications

Must be able to pass structural and 6G pipe weld test.
Two+ years of experience with industrial and commercial applications.
High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

Lay out pieces to be welded according to blueprints or work orders.
Weld, join, fabricate, and repair metal parts using manual/semi-automatic/automatic equipment.
Position pieces in jigs and fixtures using measuring tools.
Inspect finished work for conformance to specifications.
Maintain safety practices and complete records.
Possibly learn other crafts as needed by supervisor.
