Job summary

Cherokee Millwright is seeking a Multi-Craft Field Welder to join our operations team. This field role involves laying out, welding, installing, and repairing metal components in customer sites, following blueprints, specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Team members will cross-train in millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, and civil work, with a focus on quality and safety. The position is non-exempt and primarily on-site, supporting industrial projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass structural and 6G pipe weld test.
• Two+ years of experience with industrial and commercial applications.
• Fork Lift license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lay out pieces to be welded per blueprints or work orders.
• Weld, surface, fabricate, and repair parts using manual/semi-automatic/automatic equipment.
• Position pieces in jigs and fixtures with measuring tools.
• Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications.
• Perform minor maintenance on equipment.
• Follow safety practices and maintain records.
• May work in other crafts as needed.
• Contribute to team safety initiatives.
