Job summary

American States Utility Services, Inc. is seeking qualified personnel to maintain water and wastewater systems on military installations across the United States.

The role requires hands-on work with water mains, meters, hydrants and sewer assets, including operation of heavy machinery and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities include inspections, repairs, and customer interactions, with a focus on timely service orders and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two+ years as a Utility Technician I or related role in water/wastewater.
• Must obtain a CDL within 6 months and maintain it.

Responsibilities

• Perform water and wastewater system maintenance, including water quality and supply.
• Inspect, install, repair, and certify water mains, services, meters, hydrants, and backflow devices.
• Inspect and repair sewer lines, manholes, and lift stations; operate sewer-infrastructure equipment.
