Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver advanced respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. You will educate, assess, and collaborate with physicians and care teams for safe, high-quality outcomes outside the hospital.

Responsibilities include ventilator management, patient education, and timely documentation to support care plans, coding, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
• One year of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist with ventilator exposure or similar.
• Valid and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in all states served by the branch.
• CPR certification and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply knowledge of respiratory equipment, ventilators, and related guidelines.
• Perform clinical assessments and communicate findings to physicians and referral sources.
• Discharge planning and transitions to home for ventilator dependent patients.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on ventilator units, supplies, and use.
• Document all patient care activities accurately for compliance and billing.
