Job summary

Shaffer Distributing Company, a leading Midwest distributor of vending machines, arcade games, parts and services, seeks an experienced Field Vending Service Technician to install, repair and service equipment across Ohio.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical repair, troubleshooting of coin mechanisms, card readers and control boards, and the ability to train customers while traveling statewide. A valid driver’s license, strong work ethic and professional demeanor are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on skill in mechanical and electrical repair and troubleshooting.
• Ability to repair and install vending equipment and components.
• Strong communication and customer-service orientation.
• Background checks including criminal, driving, and credit histories.

Responsibilities

• Repairing and installing vending equipment to ensure continuous operation.
• Troubleshooting and replacing faulty components (coin mechanisms, readers, boards, motors).
• Restocking parts in the service vehicle and scheduling with customers.
• Traveling throughout Ohio to service customer sites.
• Training customers on operation and maintenance of machines.
