Job summary

Shaffer Distributing Company is seeking an experienced Field Vending Service Technician to install and repair vending machines across Ohio. The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical repair, troubleshooting, and customer instruction at diverse locations.

The ideal candidate will have a High-School Diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and at least five years of equipment repair experience, preferably in vending.

Qualifications

• Five years of equipment repair experience

Responsibilities

• Repairing and installing vending equipment to keep machines running
• Install new and refurbished equipment at customer sites
• Troubleshoot and replace faulty components (coin mechanisms, card readers, boards, compressors, motors)
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies in service vehicle
• Respond to service calls promptly with professionalism and customer satisfaction
• Coordinate with Operations Coordinator to schedule appointments and prioritize urgent needs
• Instruct and train customers on operation, settings and upkeep
• Maintain a positive, enthusiastic attitude with colleagues and customers
