Job summary

Shaffer Distributing Company is seeking a Field Vending Service Technician to install and repair vending machines across Ohio. The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical repair skills, and the ability to travel frequently to customer sites.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of repair experience, with preference for vending machine know-how. You will work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain a professional demeanor with customers.

Qualifications

• High-School Diploma or GED required; electro-mechanical degree beneficial.
• Minimum five years' experience in equipment repair; vending machine repair experience preferred.
• Ability to travel throughout Ohio and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Repair and install vending equipment to promote continuous operation.
• Install both new and refurbished equipment at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot and replace faulty components (coin mechanisms, card readers, boards, motors, etc.).
• Maintain parts inventory in service vehicle and restock as needed.
• Respond to service calls promptly with professionalism and focus on customer satisfaction.
• Schedule appointments with Operations Coordinator and prioritize urgent service needs.
• Instruct and train customers on operation, settings, and upkeep of machines.
