Job summary

ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Inspector who loves cars and wants to join a growing company. Inspectors are the face of ACV, combining deep car knowledge with clear explanations to customers and dealers while delivering reliable condition reports.

You will travel to dealerships and other sites to inspect vehicles, write detailed condition reports, estimate repair costs, and support the sales team with accurate listings on the platform.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in automotive field with customer service background
• Excellent verbal and written English communication
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather
• Strong problem solving and adaptability
• Proven ability to work independently and in a team
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle liability insurance

Responsibilities

• Actively support efforts to improve customer experience
• Inspect vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease to detect damage and issues
• Prepare and submit a condition report with estimates
• Assist sales with upselling services and products
• Interface with dealers to maintain client satisfaction and relationships
• Travel to dealerships and residences to inspect and write reports
• Capture photos and upload them to the image server with company app
• List inspected vehicles on the ACV Auctions platform for bidding
• Sign up dealerships as buyers to use the platform
• Perform additional duties as assigned
