Job summary

ACRT, Inc. seeks a Contract Utility Forester to identify and inspect trees along utility lines and provide client recommendations. You will coordinate crews, manage access, and liaise with stakeholders while traveling across Virginia, including overnight trips.

Ideal candidates have a forestry/related degree or equivalent experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; GIS experience is a plus. Outdoor work and independent scheduling are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in forestry, horticulture, environmental science or related field or 2 years in utility vegetation management.
• Experience in utility vegetation management preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; GIS experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and manage a geographic area.

Responsibilities

• Identify, inspect, and evaluate trees and brush along utility lines.
• Submit inspection results to clients with recommendations.
• Plan and coordinate activities of tree clearance crews.
• Coordinate access issues and liaise between clients, crews, and customers.
• Travel throughout Virginia with some overnight stays.
