Job summary

ACRT, Inc. is seeking a Consulting Utility Forester to join our field team in Florida. The role appeals to both entry level and experienced foresters with degrees in forestry or related fields or with equivalent utility vegetation experience.

You will identify, inspect, and evaluate trees along utility lines, submit inspection results with recommendations, and coordinate access with line-clearance crews while liaising between clients and crews. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree in forestry, horticulture, environmental science or closely related field
• Alternatively, 4 years of experience in Utility Vegetation Management or related field
• ISA Arborist certification preferred
• Strong tree ID skills
• Ability to work independently in all weather conditions
• Experience with GIS data collection software/hardware preferred

Responsibilities

• Identify, inspect, and evaluate trees and brush along utility lines
• Submit inspection results with recommendations
• Discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues
• Serve as liaison between clients, tree crews, and client customers
