Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. seeks experienced Field Technicians to support Underground Utilities, Land Surveying and Mapping in Pittsburgh. Travel and fieldwork are required to locate subsurface utilities, label features, and complete daily reports.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of field experience, familiarity with total stations, data collectors, and GPS, plus a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. TN visa is possible only for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field experience.
• Familiarity with total stations, data collectors and GPS.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations and locate subsurface utilities.
• Operate equipment to locate and mark subsurface utilities.
• Label topographic features from field codes and perform calculations.
• Complete daily reports and field sketches.
• Assist with training SUE staff in methods, use of equipment and safety.
