Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson in Charleston, SC is seeking a Field Technician II to support underground utility locating and surveying efforts. This full-time role involves fieldwork, data collection, and coordination with project teams.

The position requires experience with survey equipment, ability to travel, and readiness to work outdoors in varied weather; background checks and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening.
• Valid Driver's License Required.
• Able to pass Background Check.
• Able to comprehend and interpret roadway and utility construction plans, and utility record drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to locate subsurface utilities.
• Mark utilities upon location.
• Excavate utilities as needed.
• Interpret roadway and utility construction plans and utility record drawings.
• Record accurate field notes.
• Document assignments.
• Collect data using survey equipment.
• Perform calculations.
