Job summary

MBP seeks a Transportation Construction Inspector I to support field compliance, QA, and documentation on active projects across multiple Virginia sites.

Ideal candidates have progressive inspection experience and are ready to represent MBP in daily interactions with contractors, agencies, and project stakeholders. The role requires safety awareness and the ability to document and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Progressive field inspection experience on transportation/building projects.
• Ability to read plans, specs and identify deviations on site.
• Proficient in documenting observations and communicating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Inspect sites for conformance to specs and codes and document findings.
• Coordinate with agency personnel, contractors, MBP team and clients.
• Prepare daily reports, punch lists, and project records.
• Review payment applications with guidance from seniors.
• Maintain project records including diaries, photos, and sketches.
