Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Transmission Work Planner to support vegetation management projects in outdoor field environments. Responsibilities include safe field operations, driving to sites, walking rights-of-way, and documenting vegetation data with tablets and GIS tools.

Ideal candidates will have 1–3 years of UVM or forestry experience, knowledge of tree species, and strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members in variable conditions.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of Utility Vegetation Management (UVM) or forestry experience.
• Knowledge of tree species identification and hazard assessment.
• Ability to hike ROWs and drive for extended periods.
• Experience with GIS software and Microsoft Office on iPhone.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Drive to work sites and hike rights-of-way up to 10 miles per day.
• Inspect vegetation work and document data for customers.
• Record vegetation data using tablets and specialized software.
• Address customer concerns promptly and maintain professional relations.
• Participate in storm and emergency response duties.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
