Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a motivated Work Planner to join our vegetation management team. You will work outdoors, drive to sites, assess vegetation, and document findings using tablets and GIS to support accurate field operations.

As a full-time team member, you’ll receive competitive pay, a company vehicle with a fuel card, Day 1 benefits, and ongoing training to earn industry certifications. This role requires the ability to work alone in varying weather, travel between sites, and communicate

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tree species identification, hazard tree assessment, invasive species management, and tree growth patterns.
• Ability to hike ROWs and drive for extended periods.
• Knowledge of Utility Vegetation Management practices.
• Experience with GIS software and Microsoft Office, plus an iPhone.
• Ability to work alone outdoors in varying weather and terrain.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, problem solving, and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions.
• Follow safety standards, wildfire prevention, and injury prevention protocols.
• Promote AMS values in daily actions.
• Safely drive to work sites and hike rights-of-way up to 10 miles/day.
• Inspect and document vegetation work at customer properties.
• Record vegetation data using tablets and specialized software.
• Use forestry computer systems for data entry and tracking.
• Address customer concerns and complaints promptly.
• Communicate effectively with leadership, auditors, clients, contractors, landowners, and the public.
• Maintain positive public relations through professional conduct.
• Participate in storm and emergency response duties as needed.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
