Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Transmission Work Planner for an outdoor, field-based role in North Carolina. You will drive to sites, hike ROWs, document vegetation work, and input data into forestry software while upholding safety standards.

Ideal candidates will have 1–3 years in UVM or forestry, GIS and MS Office familiarity, and strong communication skills. The position offers competitive pay, company vehicle, and benefits starting Day 1.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in Utility Vegetation Management (UVM) or forestry-related work.
• Ability to identify tree species, assess hazards, and manage invasive species.
• Willingness to hike/walk ROWs and drive long periods.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards and incidents.
• Follow safety standards and promote AMS values.
• Drive to work sites and hike Rights-of-Way (up to 10 miles/day).
• Inspect and document vegetation work on customer properties.
• Record vegetation data using tablets and software.
• Use forestry computer systems for data entry and tracking.
• Address customer concerns promptly and maintain professional relations.
• Participate in storm and emergency response duties as needed.
