Job summary

Bill Howe Plumbing, Inc. is seeking a Training Supervisor to develop and deliver plumbing and drain technician training. You will lead classroom sessions, field demonstrations, and ride-alongs, ensuring training stays current with codes and equipment.

You will supervise onboarding, pair new hires with mentors, and build clear career paths while coordinating with field supervisors to close skill gaps and improve safety. The role emphasizes leadership and hands-on coaching.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on knowledge of residential and commercial plumbing service and current codes.
• Hands-on skill with drain cleaning, hydro-jetting, sewer camera inspection, and line locating.
• Proven ability to teach and coach others, e.g., as lead, foreman, trainer, or supervisor.
• Ability to explain technical topics clearly to technicians at different skill levels.
• Strong organizational skills to plan and track training for many technicians.

Responsibilities

• Own the technician training program: build training plans, curriculum, and skills checklists for each career level.
• Lead classroom training, hands-on demonstrations, and ride-alongs; keep content current with codes and equipment.
• Oversee onboarding for new field hires; pair with mentors and track milestones.
• Develop clear career paths by running skills assessments and certifications for advancement.
• Reduce callbacks by identifying skill gaps and delivering targeted retraining; perform field audits.
