Job summary

Flagger Force, Inc. is seeking a Field Trainer 2 to deliver hands-on and classroom training across field teams, promoting safety and quality standards.

You will coach employees, develop performers, and ensure high engagement while aligning with company values in the New Castle area. The role requires travel within 1–2 hours from home, occasional overnight stays, and collaboration with Risk Training and Operations to improve on-site performance.

Qualifications

• Expertise in hands-on field training techniques.
• Identify and support student career development.
• Maintain high student engagement levels.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must hold all required Department of Transportation qualifications for assigned territory.
• Valid driver's license in accordance with Flagger Force motor vehicle record standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert hands-on training and classroom instruction.
• Identify and support student growth with guidance for professional advancement.
• Enhance and maintain high student engagement using interactive teaching methods.
• Provide classroom instruction as needed, approximately 50% of average monthly assignments.
• Administer hands-on training for various courses and ensure practical application of skills.
• Test and evaluate all students, record grades, and dismiss non-eligible students.
• Monitor student engagement and learning levels throughout training classes.
• Review training materials for accuracy and relevance.
• Identify potential instructor candidates and assist in developing junior instructors.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom and manage inventory of materials.
• Provide field on-the-job training approximately 50% of assignments.
• Administer external portions of the Basic Work Zone training and DRIVE program.
• Provide daily support, coaching on best practices to field employees.
• Submit completed BWZ checklists to Training team.
• Manage field employee performance with on-site coaching.
• Work with Risk Training and Operations to identify needs weekly.
• Represent the organization to clients, employees, and the public.
• Assume field employee responsibilities when necessary and as assigned.
• Attend department meetings and maintain internal training certifications.
• Assist safety personnel with incident investigations.
• Collaborate with peers to align with Flagger Force processes.
• Travel 1-2 hours from home frequently; overnight stays possible.
