Job summary

National Trench Safety in Sparks, NV is seeking a Traffic Control Tech to join our outdoor, entry-level field team. The role involves driving a company vehicle, setting up cones, signs, barricades, and other traffic control devices per MUTCD guidelines, and signaling drivers to maintain a safe work zone.

You will read Traffic Control Plans, operate arrow panels and light towers, transport materials between sites, and help with basic shop work to prepare equipment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lift, carry, load, and unload traffic control devices, including signs, barricades, pavement marking materials, etc.
• Set up and remove crash cushions, signs, and traffic control items at a jobsite.
• Read and follow Traffic Control Plans and properly lay out the traffic equipment per the Traffic Control Plan.
• Operate towing arrow panels, message boards, light towers, & trailers.
• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to and from job sites.
• Repair equipment, assemble signs and perform all other shop work required to prepare for onsite traffic control.
• Always follow company policies and safety regulations.
• Keep accurate and timely job logs and return them to the office daily.
• Communicate with General Manager and Supervisor to ensure they adequately informed on the project’s progress.
• Other responsibilities as assigned
